Default Clipsal switch from Waldown or similar

    Hi All

I am looking for a switch like the one in the photo. Either single or three phase would do.IMG_20181129_094309.jpg

The original is 80 x 50 with a vertical pair of mounting holes 60mm apart. That could work. What mounting holes does it have?

Here is the switch without the cover. Holes in the switch for mounting are 6mm diameter (for a 3/16" screw?) and are 3/4" horizontal displacement and 2 5/8" vertical.

    Michael,

I don't much want to drill the casting a set of offset holes. Thus for the moment I will keep looking for something with mountings more like the original.

IMG_20181217_090100.jpgJust for completion. I managed to find a new old stock bakelite HPM 250v 5A single pole switch that fits the mounting of the older Waldown's without modification. I am still on the lookout for an original but this should work for the years it may take to complete that task.

that's a beautiful drill, its a shame when you cant find the correct style and type of switch to match the drill to keep it original
i had the same problem with a old power hacksaw, but luckily i found a switch at the local scrap yard , i will keep a eye out for one for you

My sentiments exactly! I went to some effort to keep the housing looking original as it had been previously hacked so an original switch would be much appreciated. Thank you for keeping an eye out.

Here a a few after and before photos. I put in threaded inserts where tek screws had held on a plate to cover the switch hole and were large holes had been drilled for conduit mounting.
