Any chance of a photo/s and some measurements please? A lot of drill presses are made in the same factory, and branded with different names. So finding one branded Richardson, may be difficult, whereas a part from another drill may fit.

I like that table lift mechanism, are you able to show some more photos on how it attaches to the actual table?

    Thanks

If you can't get one with a Morse taper, you might have to look at dismantling it and maching the taper into it.
Hopefully there's enough room there to do it.

    Hi Kryn

I doubt that would be possible, normally with this type of drill press the morse taper socket protrudes, it's not internal like most modern types.

Hi John, so i can use my set of mt2 shank drill bits which i use for my hercus lathe too. Just trying to get away buying another set of reduced shank.

Yeah that makes sense. I don't have any MT drills and therefore didn't think of that. The castings on that Sterling look identical to my Richardson. My Richardson has the JT6 taper on the end of the spindle but my friend just bought one with the MT2 spindle - later model.

Also can use the drill chuck of the lathe as it is MT2 taper.
