    Default D1-3 Chuck Backing Plate

I picked a new PB 3 jaw chuck for the Chipmaster and need a 160mm or larger D1-3 backing plate.

    Cheers

    Piers,
Have you tried Mick Moyle's in Sydney? He sometimes has stock, not sure about 160 mm dia though.
    Cheers,

    Hi Peter.

Thanks. I have a face plate for my lathe, still after a chuck backing plate, now to mount a ER40 collet chuck.

    cheers

Do you have a drive plate for turning between centres? I mounted an ER40 collet chuck on my drive plate as I decided it would get more use that way. Of course I have an MT6 spindle taper and have very little hope of finding a centre that size anyway. If I want to turn between centres I will turn a centre in the chuck.
