Default WTB - Surface Grinder Wheels

Need some wheels up to 200 mm (8") with bore 31.75 mm (1 1/4").
Looking for similar to a Norton 38A46-H up to 16 mm wide for immediate needs, but other materials/grades/hardness considered for future expected requirements.

Also need advice on a reasonably priced supplier.

Saint Gobain which is the Norton distributor?

I bought some 7" X 1/2" X 1 1/4" bore alum oxide and they were something like $15 each delivered to the local distributor.
Gold, the colour of choice for the discerning person.

Thanks for the reference, that is a good price, I will enquire tomorrow.

Visited McJings today looking for small router bits and they had an 8" SCS 60/2-J wheel with 1 1/2" bore, bare grit and no sleeves, labelled I think as Norton.
Cannot identify the SCS, its not in the Norton catalog.
Passed on it until I can identify the type of grit, could be ceramic or carbide of some sort.

This is a whole new field of interest for me.

Just noticed this John. H grade is a bit soft for most of the things you will be grinding. Better to stick to around K grade and even M for soft steel.

    DH,
    Thanks for the advice.
Getting good finish using Norton 38A60-J on MS and CI.
Just looking for a wider wheel and I was influenced in choice by Don Bailey in a Suburban Tool Inc video.
