Hi

I bought an old wood shredder couple years ago.
Paid 30$ from it.. and soon i realized that it really wasn't
good at all.

Its desing didn't work at all with fresh wood, where i wanted to use it in first place.

Bought a new one and this was stored to my shed and forgotten. Found it after two years and decided to repurpose it.

As an disc sander.

I wanted to use it with angle grinder wheels.
It has 2000w motor, and it runs 4200rpm.
So, it was perfect for little rougher material removing.

Blade was mounted to axle, which has M22 thread.
Angle grinder wheels and bads are here with M14 thread.
So that needed to be fixed.

I had no lathe, so i did "turning" manually.

For better and easier use. I made an locking latch for the other end of the axle. That makes changing wheel easier, when you can lock the axle, and then open the locking screw of the grinding wheel using only one key.

Made a new casing and re-shaped the original door.

It can be used with flap wheels, fibre discs and "velcro" papers. It can be used with 180mm wheels and 205mm backing for papers.

Door can be opened, and when its closed it works as a guard.

Motor doesn't start when door is unlocked, so it had a good safety option allready.

Reused old feets from the original shredder.
But those are temporal. I will mount it to the table,
when i have finished my workshop rebuilding process .
