Welcome to the forum Henry, did it come with its leadscrew?
Looks like it's the shiny thing in the tray.
There has been a Qualos sitting on Market Place up here for weeks just went to see if it was still listed as it was there this morning can not locate it now. Ok took some stuffing about but found it again FB must be overloaded.
Have Pm'd with link here are the only 2 photos.
Thank you for the welcome it has the lead screw and quick change box also steady 3 jaw 4 jaw face plate coolant pump in its stand ohh and thread chasing dial but only 1 change gear for metric thread cutting and I have no info on how to change to right places so to speak (I'm a newbie to machining but a quick learner) from new it had taper attach and milling attach but the grandson who I naught it off couldn't find them and also taught the Oilers were great nipples so I have pulled her down for a wash and check and replace before I start to play
Awesome I love the shape of them I'm thinking of putting 3ph with vfd so I can get a little bit more speed out of the spindle all bearings are in great shape and oil in head is like brand new all gears are neat no burs or wear marks and lead screw has no noticeable wear for its age the original owner was a watch maker I dont know if that's good or not but it seemed well looked after
Sorry I didn't get it wheelinround
Hi guys!
I just bought this lovely old Qualos of a local elderly gent.
it didn’t come with a steady or gears, are these available from anywhere?
This company are still in business but make roller doors now I believe. Do you know what pitch the change gears are?
Finding a steady will be pretty hard, but making or adapting one is not a huge challenge.
