Scrap Metal Prices Apparently on the Rise
Scrap price at 10 year high.
"If you ve been hoarding scrap,or just hoping to get your money back on a hopeless project. Had a visit today from a buyer,he offered me $300 a ton for heavy, maybe better next week if the dollar falls further. All the old machine tools will be going......Landis ,Cincinnatti,Asquith,Lang,...even the big Repco Power crankshaft grinder..Time to let go and cash out."
Noticed this post this morning on the HCVC forum. Don't know anything about the machinery or the poster except I think from around the Brisbane area.

Sorry, It seems you did not understand my post. I copied and pasted this from another forum with a link in the top line. I did this because if anyone was interested they could contact the person involved to get details. They don't belong to me and I don't know the original poster on the HCVC forum.

That bloke is on PM to. He always bitches about how his old machines in his paddock are worthless. A few people have asked for details on what he has but he never replies.

That is so, he seems to have an opinion on everything and often says the council is hassling him to clean up his yard, apparently not only machinery but truck engines and parts etc. Maybe this will be the start of the clean up.
