    Default Eye bender Build

I started building a new eye bender on Monday unfortunately unforeseen unfortunate events have & will prevent me from finishing for a while.

Adjustment pin holes for the clamping bar. 1/2" drilled on the Denbigh. Drilled 2up back to back combined thickness 20mm

    Mock assembly

1" SHS to be bolted to the base so it can be held in the vice. My previous one had angle iron but some of the old post vices are too worn to hold well on such a thin section.

Drilling the main arm for the die pins.

I timed the actual drill time, set up and alignment not included. It takes the Denbigh 4:31.28 minutes to put a through hole in. So if you add up all those holes and multiply by 4 1/2 min it takes a while.

An eye bender is used to bend solid rod or bar into round loops.
Good for doing eyes on the end of hooks etc.

    Default Eye bender Build

Been going stir crazy, So a friend came around to supervise me in the shed today and make sure I didn't do too much. I did some drilling, tapping and welding and made the bender look more like a bender than a pile of metal bits.

    The vide block bolted on.

The body and arm are all finished.

Now just the clamp lever to go.

A few hrs in the shed and I'm exhausted just laying on the couch trying not to fall a sleep.
