New Sydney User
Hi everyone.
I'm new to metal work and have slowly been acquiring pieces of machinery. I have come from a wood working and construction background.
I have been lucky enough to have been given an old shaper from the Ministry of Munitions. I think its an atlas 7 inch but it has minimal tags. Slowly cleaning it up and learning as i go.
Also got hold of Waldown radial drill press and i am slowly making it shiny again.
Most recent purchase is a model C Hercus lathe but the motor appears to be in need of attention.
Andy.

Hi trail,
Welcome to our Metal Works forums.
We a have all sorts here so I am sure you will fit in.
You might consider adjusting your location to your suburb.
The reason is sometimes a member may be living adjacent to you in the next suburb.
This member may be able to offer onsite advice or demonstration if he knows you are close by and does not have to travel clear across Sydney.
We have a great bunch here most of whom are willing to help with subjects within their expertise or experience.
You shall fit in just great.
Grahame
