Creedy from Adelaide says Hi
Hello fellow metalworkers, Thought I'd take the opportunity to introduce myself.
I did my apprenticeship and worked as a Toolmaker for 11 years in the automotive industry before moving into the drawing office where I've been (for various companies) ever since.
I've always loved the process of creating useful and good looking items from metal and now I have a strong desire to get my hands dirty again. I hope to be able to combine my design skills with my somewhat rusty machining skills to work on a few projects I have in mind.
I've recently purchased a series 1 Bridgeport in good condition and now have a nice new AL-960b lathe to keep it company in the shed. After I've gathered a few basics to get me through I think most other accessories and equipment I'll have a go at making myself.
Looking forward to picking all your brains when I need help and to helping out if and when I can.
Cheers,
Creedy

Welcome Creedy
I'm confident you'll enjoy our forum due to the wealth of knowledge that abounds here. There never seems to be any problems with imparting that knowledge as well which is a good thing.
Good luck with your transition to making swarf rather than drawing it though there is one important rule (unwritten) that is worth a mention, we love pics, as many as possible .
Again, welcome and don't be afraid to ask or post.
Phil
