Hello - new member
Hi folks,
I am new to the forum and am seeking some metal work information.
I am a furniture designer maker, architect and carpenter and have my own woodwork workshop where in pride of place lives a 3.2m long sliding panel saw. I also have a nice waldown drill press, crappy bandsaw and wood lathe and a nice hercus metal lathe that I don't really know how to use. I turn small metal and timber (a no no I know) items with it.
I make fittings for houses and over the years have produced and sold a range of designer tableware products. I enjoy working with metal and built my own house recently which is clad with gal corrugated iron with some nice folded detailing.
I am in the process of developing a range of products starting with some simple folded items for the bathroom in copper and timber. I am also developing a door handle which will be investment cast in bronze. These will be used in my architectural projects but will be able to be purchased through my website formarchitecturefurniture.com.au . If successful I will extend the range to include other items.
Anyway I would like to expand my skills and capabilities so will be utilising this forum in a number of areas and would like to learn how to use my lathe to better effect.
Cheers Tony
