WW2 Jeep reproduction parts
A tour of the Juan factory in the Philippines where new parts are made for the WW2 era Jeeps and many other post-war Jeep models https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21P-0Hzb-RI
These Juan parts have a somewhat 'hit or miss' reputation in the Jeep community around the world. Sometimes, the parts fit together without any problems but on other the hand, the parts can be so far out of alignment , the end purchaser has to go through a nightmare of cutting/welding, retro-fitting hole locations and lots of swearing goes on. The quality control is pretty poor , one production run of new parts will be fine, but the next run of the same part will be terrible. This problem has been going on since the 1960s. I guess we are lucky to have these parts in any case.

It is a mixed bag when using reproduction parts. Yes the Filipino products can be hit and miss although in that video the equipment looks quite good. Unfortunately amongst manufacturers both locally and overseas the QC aspect can often be lip service and marketing. I decided to make my own repair panels to have a large degree of control on quality and time to burn! Having access to original samples as templates and a selection of original drawings online the task was easier.
Cheers

A lot of the repro body panels are the same, hit and miss, on the fitting. On my Suzuki that I did, I had to move the chassis body mounts to make the front end guards, to fit properly.
