DSG in NSW $150
Positive this is an early 50s Dean Smith and Grace like the one I dragged home but 10% of the price.

Would almost be worth the trip to have a look at it, wonder if that includes the stuff around it also???

A stuffed lathe is still a stuffed lathe, no matter how good it might have been when new.

What is interesting is the other stuff he has for sale, one real nice looking press there.

Only advantage of a stuffed DSG is that most of the parts are still available or were a couple of years ago. Biggest downside would be cost to get the parts.

If I was still in Sydney I'd go & look but I think I recognise the seller and - if I'm correct - the price is likely a typo and probably has another 2 zeros on the end.
There was/is a DS&G 13 with TA for sale asking $10,000. I didn't even bother ringing as it was old, filthy and at least 2X a realistic price for a clean one.
Don't have the time (or space) to go & look at stuff while I'm up here in Brisbane, fortunately. Anything good and the freight bill would really hurt.

There was a DSG in Riverstone 3 or 4 years ago that the company was prepared to give to you, just as long as you removed it. This thing looks like it has been in that container for a bit longer than that though....or maybe it's just all the dust generated from the Schofields to Vineyard greenfields development that has blown in recently to give the crud patina!
