That’s the same as my mill I’m restoring currently.

If anyone buys it or goes to look at it I’d be interested in some extra info. Plz.

I actually bought that mill! Nice little machine. I have two of them but the other one is really going to be a labour of love. What info were you after?

Congrats on your new toy & thanks for replying.

    What is the arbor taper?

I’d like to see photos of what the motor/drive arm is like, same with the stand as mine has neither.
I’ve fabricated something for mine but I’d still like to know what was original, as I may modify it before fitting.

    What height is the stand?

Did yours come with any original tooling?

I probably have more but that’s a start.

    Hi Mate,
It came with about 40 cutters, 3 arbours and 2 drawbars which I thought was grand for the price!
The spindle on both my machines takes a MT3 arbour/collett.
I will take some pictures and take measurements for you when I get home.

Any idea on who made them? I initially thought they might have been very old Tom Senior heavy bench mills but Im not to sure about that now as they seem to be larger than the descriptions I have read about the old Senior mills. Also the spindle oilers on mine are made in Sydney! Ministry of munitions machine maybe? Aus made maybe?

    Regards

    Matthew

I think they are a local copy/clone of the ‘Atlas’ by Tom Senior. There is minor differences between the two but it is so similar that it must be based off that machine.

Also referred to as the ‘Heavy Bench’

Who made em though I don’t know.

Very good buy at that price with all that included and such a complete machine.

Are you sure it’s MT3. I was told it was a Brown & Sharpe taper? They are close in size so I have been looking for a definitive answer.
