Default Bargain Morse Taper Imperial Drill Bits in Sydney

If you can bid on this in the next 10 hours and then collect from Campbelltown tomorrow or Friday this could be a bargain. The current bid price wouldn't even pay for 1 of the larger drill bits and while the listing ad says 20 there are more than that plus a machine vice included as well. Listing doesn't say what Morse Taper but the drill sizes range from 1/2" to 1 1/2" in 1/64" increments. a couple missing but looks to be duplicates of the 1 1/2".

Can't imagine they will stay at that bid for long.
The MT sizes are usually determined by each drill diameter.

Bidding usually goes up at the last moment I agree BobL, but you just never know. Some of the items in other listings have had bid activity already long before the end time. The 3 Hercus 260 lathes I was looking at have gone from under $300 2 days ago to up around the mid $500 mark now with 6 hours to go.

I guess it just depends on the item, how many people have use for them and also how many people don't bother because they think the bids will go up. As long as you have your own upper limit and stick to it is the rule for any auction. I've seen some pretty bizarre results at auctions on both ends of the scale.

I'd bid if I was able to pick them up.

Same here. That's why I posted about them here otherwise I'd have kept mum about it. I can't have them but somebody else on the forum might be able to get them. I'm about to leave home to head to Newcastle to view the little Advance lathe I'm considering and then I'll be in Maitland till Friday afternoon.

Did you win them russ57 or is that the end price? I didn't see the end of the auction. Still for 30 odd large and good quality drill bits plus a machine vice it is pretty good buying if you have a use for them.

That machine vice was a seperate lot.
    146 the drills were 166.
    Usual grays.
I wish who ever takes the photos knew what is of interest, that little bandsaw looked ok, had a countershaft but without a rear photo you couldn’t tell if had a gearbox or not.

OK. Well that was a bit misleading. Even so, the drills were still pretty good buying for whoever got them at that price.
