    Sad that it has gone to scrap. I didn't realize that Bayer Peacock made machine tools, they were famous for their railway locomotives.

    Agree. If I'd been in Sydney I probably would have looked, worked out a freight cost and maybe bid just to save it from scrap. But you can't save them all (especially Grays auctions with limited time to move stuff) and it's obvious nobody else was interested, so - shrug. Another one gone.

    I never knew about it, but a small planer is still the one item I would like. Now I have more room since a small bit of downsizing.

    When does my 10EE arrive?

    I don't think I'll ever get around to restoring my Redman planer but it's a bit small for you at 4' table size. Now I have a 'spare' B/port J head I keep having thoughts of converting it to a big plano-miller. There's no rush to do anything though.

    You will have to ring up your US freight forwarder for that info. I was just rubbing mine down before and admiring it.
