That VMC looks ok for the money, could be good or could be a can of worms. If it was closer i would defiantly be having a look. I wouldn't go near the Japax WEDM. WEDM is cool but you need deep pockets to keep them running. The two sinker EDM's look good, they would be the ideal size for a backyard machine shop. Really good for removing broken taps and drills, plus you can do other cool stuff with them.

Did Anyone out there have a crack at this FP4M?
http://www.graysonline.com/lot/1400-...ine?redirect=0
Looks like a nice machine if you have the room and a spare $13200.
There is a nice collection of machines in the background which weren't in the auction, I'd defiantly like to know if the Weiler Condor was going to be for sale any time soon.
Cheers,
Greg.

HI,
There's been some nice European machinery for sale lately:
https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/gros...the/1159181300
and
https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/mile...the/1159177290
Not sure of the PTA origins but it would be nice for small stuff.

Did anyone win anything at the Grays Bairnsdale auction?
I did win a hydraulic ram and pump.
Now I intended doing some work in that part of the world next week and pick it up. Unfortunately I ended up in hospital on Monday and need further treatment next week. So now I won't be getting to Bairnsdale for another couple of weeks or so.
If anyone else is going there Monday or Tuesday to pick anything up, I'd really appreciate it if you could pick up my hydraulics and hold them for me that would be great. They are not very big or heavy.
Please let me know and I'll forward to pick-up authority and receipt by email.Cheers, Joe

the 2nd lathe has been for sale for over 12months for a pretty high BIN price, must be in a hurry to get rid of it now. If it is in good condition it would be a great lathe. I have the previous model to that lathe and if all the ways and the spindle weren't completely stuffed it would be a really top end machine.

Couple of mills in QLD (and elsewhere if you search):
http://www.graysonline.com/lot/0004-...chine?spr=true
http://www.graysonline.com/lot/0002-...chine?spr=true
I'm on the lookout for a larger mill, but the smaller of the above two is still 2500kg and I'm guessing mills this heavy have seen a fair bit of industrial use (?). I'm hoping to go and have a look tomorrow anyhow. I'll tighten the gibs at the middle and see if I can move it to the ends, and perform a few other checks depending on what I read...
