Yes, l reckon it was in the back yard of a factory in Brunswick. It sold for about $100 and looked quite rusty. Lockwood auctions

Well it's on the way, Adelaide is I really nice town. Gotta come back some time when I don't have work on Monday. The DSG is a strange one, it's metric for instance, and is a roller bearing model but with the low top speed of 750 rpm.IMG_20180908_152548.jpg

Had this emailed to me by Nedshead, it's in Albury, so while you're picking it up, drop in and say G'day to him.

Came across this store on Ebay selling offcuts and some tooling
    https://www.ebay.com.au/str/CNC-Offc...p2047675.l2563

Located in Murray Bridge SA but happy to post
Looks to be mostly Aluminium, Brass, Bronze & plastics
Might be a decent way to get some of the harder to obtain offcuts

They seem to have a good sense of humour
“Offcuts from a real machine shop. Has dust and sharp edges. Sizes are approximate +/-1 mm on diameters and I usually understate the length so the ladies are not scared away.”

Is this an Alfred Herbert / Waldown marriage? https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/carr...nt=61714_18319

So the table from one of these https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/macd...ase/1190364784 with a generic Waldown drill bolted on top?

Or is that the way it was made?

I didn't see Herbert on the first table but it could have been ground off. I made the connection because the castings between the bases look very much the same. Even the T slots in the table seem to have the same spacing.

Wish I had seen this, I have the Herbert head and column with a fabricated base. Next time perhaps.
