I would wait until the auction.... they are not going to sell much at those prices...
The market in Tasmania cannot be that big that there would be much demand for industrial manual machines and I imagine freight to Melbourne to an area already with lots of machine tools for sale would not be cheap..
It is not that the gear does not look good, but it is all about the available market... Not to many people want buggy whips these days..Gold, the colour of choice for the discerning person.

I spoke with the Receiver Manager of ACL today. I was told that all the assets were sold to a single party. They are currently removing those assets. I assume what you see on Ebay is all or some of those assets. It is a real shame that there was no public auction. Looks like a dealer got the whole lot and that is the end of that..

They probably got everything cheap and now will think they can put a 1000% markup on it, I mean who in industry would want a forty year old 600X200 surface grinder..

Who in industry would want a G Vernier milling machine for the low, low price of $8,000? I think Ew paid $200 for his, and Grays sold their last one for $959.. or a soggy noodle Bridgeport for another low, low price of $9,000.

The price for that is possibly fair enough, but some of the other kit is laughable. $9K for a Bridgy

I would assume that the dealer brokered the sale of the main plant , packaged it up for the buyer and what we are seeing now is the crumbs, put what ever price they want on it and it sell when it sells, if not it goes to scrap when the dealer closes down, and they still make a profit on it
