    Default stainless steel piece

I cut this out of stainless and it been suggested I should look at casting it. Sounds good but my knowledge is pretty poor on the matter.

What is it? its buckle 40x80x6 in 316 stainless, I gahter casting stainless is a bit of a contract, but it would need some material of strength, not the cheap diecast stuff we see from China.

Looks good and with a polish it will look great. As for casting, it depends on the quantity you want, but for small runs the lost wax method might be viable.

What sort of material would you suggest for the casting?

I'm no expert when it comes to castings but I think it may be able to be done in stainless otherwise it could be cheaper to do it in zinc and then chrome plate. It depends on the cost and what you want to achieve.
