Default SOUTH AUSTRALIA horizontal milling machine

a working horizontal milling machine not sure of its make but it appears to be either a pallas or victoria or a cross between both
comes with 2 hp 3 phase electric motor set up to run from vfd.
a very heavy duty vise but the jaws dont quite touch but just use a spacer to take gap if using very thin work
    new flat belt
no drive belt between motor and speed change wheel needs about 60 inch v belt
has an add on coolant pump( looks like a washing machinE pump
has a universal table ( so it swivels) and i think table is 38 inches
NOW the but bit it weighs a bit over a ton i dismanteled it into 3 parts to get it home before i stripped and cleaned it all down
currently sitting on a pallet jack
    x and y power feed
i would hate to see this go to scrap
    $300
i can help load onto low trailer in smaller sections but with an engine crane
    location Craigmore
click on photo twice to turn it round the right way

    Sorry we aren't closer.
I'm keen to get an old mill.

Hi John I'm interested but am part way through a shed extension, which will give me extra room, but will be about 6-8 weeks before I can do anything about it.
What height is it and are there any cutters with it? Do you have a VFD that you'd sell to go with it??

KRYN it is about 64 inches high to top of motor but this will go lower by shortening the flat belt which needs doing ( its a new belt)
no vfd i use the one i have on my tom senior
there may be 2 or 3 cutters i can spare from duplicates i have
it comes with vise ( very heavy duty) and i will chuck in a vertical attachment that mounts on the over arm bar I took it of to clean so it will need reassembly ( it has a 1 hp 3 phase motor separate for vertical setup that has been reconfigured for delta by professional motor winder but needs to have box for terminals but i think you may have a vertical head to fit it if i recall

Thanks John, I don't have a vertical head, there is one for sale to suit a Victoria in Murray Bridge. Will chase that one up later on. Will send you a PM when I'm ready for it, if that's OK with you.
I'll have to get the details of your VFD so I can get one similar.
    Regards

Good on you Kryn! I reckon I would have bought it if I was closer! 8 hours one way is just too taxing on me these days!
It always warms my cold heart to see old machinery go to good homes!
