3 ph electric motor
I am decommissioning a old air conditioner next week.
It has 2 off 3ph motors that I reckon are around the 1.5kw mark.
If there is any interest from anyone I will remove before the thing is tossed in the bin.
PM me if interested.

I took them out anyway...just in case i want one
Motors are ASEA 1440 RPM and 1.5KW . Both are in good condition for age...bearings are good but like all things could be worthwhile to replace to ensure longevity.
These are free to good home...

If you where closer I'd bite your hand off. I'm in Melbourne though. Darn. Fixing up a bask-case grinder and it'll need a motor when it gets operational again.

Put a thread asking if anyone from Adelaide going thru to Melbourne in the Members Transport Section, also put it on the WWF one also, that's why it's there. I know of one person that goes that way possibly every couple of months.
To grow old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

Genius. I didn't even know such a forum section existed! Nice one. Thanks.
I am also angling to get back to the shed where the grinder spent its last disassembled days to rummage for the original motor. Or any motor even. )
Eskimo, I'll post over there to see if any forum members are passing your way.

I've also posted this on a bike forum I'm a member of. There are a few people over there who travel between Adelaide and Melbourne regularly..... I've put my hand up for the other motor, because I discovered I can't fit the 3 Hp motor I intended to put in my smaller lathe.... just too tight....
Cheers, Joe

Joe, good-o. Thanks. A forum member has PM'd me a gracious offer to get the motors to sunny Melbourne if they can get to Regency Park. About 15klms away from where they are now.
I'll see what I can muster up. Maybe just get them in a cab or something.
Greg.

Guys u could have used this shipping company Smart Send | Interstate Courier Services | Delivery Quote | eBay Courier Service you book online, the courier comes out the following working day and pick's it up from either Joe's home or work place and delivers it to it's new home
i have sent and received road motorcycle wheels, a full road motorcycle 4 cylinder engine on a pallet etc.. i often use this company when i'm sending something over length that Aust Post can't handle
plus they have a online shipping calculator to give u a instant shipping quote

Hey mate, I'd be interested if you have one spare. Have been thinking of building a little rotary phase converter at some point.
