Ignyte Precision Granite Surface Plate 24" x 18" x 4"
I have recently found myself with a surplus granite surface plate and figured I would offer it up for sale here.
The 24" x 18" x 4" Grade A black granite plate was manufactured by Murray & Livermore of Sefton N.S.W in 1970. It comes with its original felt lined metal cover and two pins for use in the lifting holes on the sides.
This plate originally came from the tool room of a Heidelberg engineering business and I purchased it from the original owner. He is a toolmaker who kept the plate for use in his home shop when he sold the business and retired.
The plate is in very good condition but does have some small flea bites and a small chip on the corner above one of the lifting holes, none of which affect its functionality.
I have used the plate for marking out, inspection and scraping. It is a great size for a home workshop and I'm only selling it because I can't justify keeping two. Please have a look at the photos and inspection in person is more than welcome.

I'm asking $400 ONO and due to its weight suggest pickup from Fawkner or Rowville is the best option but I'm happy to make a pallet and pack it appropriately if the buyer can arrange their own transport.
Cheers,
Greg.

Tempting. Now why didn't you put this up a week ago. I would have grabbed it while I was in Melbourne Friday/Saturday.
I will think about it and whether I have enough need for it. It would mean buying things to put on it tho. More money.

Why not buy it Dean, money's made to enjoy. Be a SKIN, Spend Kids Inheritance Now, they won't love you anymore or any less, because of it.

I'm sure Greg would hold/store it for you, until you get over that way next, seeing that it's going to go to a good home, wouldn't you Greg?
Don't forget, Murray Bridge is on the way to Adelaide from you, only if you have time of course.

G'day Dean,
No hurry to pick it up mate, you can leave it here as long as you like.
I might have some work coming up out Horsham way in the next few weeks which might also be helpful.
Cheers,
Greg.

I know of a Bandsaw for sale in Murray Bridge, if that helps, can't remember the size, but I remember it's a Woodfast 3ph. Pretty sure it's still there.
