I have for sale an 18" stroke Macson metal shaper. Comes with 10" vice. Some tooling. 3hp 3phase. No apparent wear. Pickup from Kyabram, Victoria. $650 pickup. Can load.

Unsold as yet. I haven't got around to advertising it elsewhere yet. Slackness I suppose. I see that you are in Brisbane. This shaper is situated in country Victoria. The reason that I point this out is the freighting of 1 tonne of cast iron for that distance. The machine appears to have done next to no work.

I have no idea of a freight cost or even a carrier. And I guess Aus Post would lose it.

What is the foot print and working area required for a shaper that size?

Footprint is 900w x 1450l x 1350h. 600mm clearance all round should do the trick. Rear you only need enough clearance for the ram at full stroke. Drive side (left looking from front) you need access to the side cover for lube and vice and on control side room to use the handles. (and nothing inflammable in a 180 degree arc at the front so the smoking blue heat 'snails' don't start a fire)
