    Default Myford ML7 lathe

My Myford ML7 is for sale, as shown in the attached pic. I bought it from the late Alan Carey in Cooma some years ago and while it was basically in vgc, I have restored it to its former glory. It has had only light use since being in my care. Sale includes the stand (very heavy) and associated tooling in cabinet, accessories (some genuine Myford), manuals and books (a considerable number!). We are downsizing to Melbourne and there is no room in the new place for any of my workshop gear. I'm also selling my mill - see separate listing under "Hafco Mill".

Lathe located in Narrabundah, ACT 2604.

    Price - $1800 ono

If I didn't have one I'd be buying this as its got a few attachments I'd like on mine. The reverse switch, the clutch a QCTP.

What other hidden gems go with it?

Raymond, you've spotted the main things (esp the clutch) but I'll be including some measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, calipers), cutting bits/tool holders, toolmaker clamps etc etc and a stack of books. Basically, it's a complete package.

Whilst it's a bit on the small side for me, if you get no attention here i reckon you will have no trouble moving it on ebay. Decent little lathes always go for high amounts here....

    Default Your myford lathe

    Hi David
my name is Frank and I live in Canberra. For months I was looking for either a Myford or Hercus lathe in the area, without success.
So a couple of weeks back I purchased a Sieg Super C3 mini lathe. Then I saw your ad - aarrgh!
You weren't thinking of getting a smaller (new and very portable) lathe when in Melbourne, were you? If you are, let me know.
    Timing is everything!
    Best regards
    Frank

    Default Myford now sold ...

... and gone to a new home in Gungahlin, thanks Steve.

Frank, I share your pain. Timing IS everything, as I hope I'll find buying a place in Melbourne in the New Year.
