Default Change gears for Hercus lathe model C?

    Dear members,

Have been asked to help a friend determine what were the standard change gears that came with the 9" Hercus lathe model C.

According to the Operator's Manual, there were 13 change gears, 1 idler gear and 2 compound idler gears to cut threads from 4 to 160 tpi.

What is not mentioned, is how many teeth there were on each gear.

I have a model A, and am sure the setup on my lathe is different.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Ken

Ken you should find for Imperial threads you would require.
16,24,32x2,36,40,44,46,48,52,54,56,57,60&80 as well as compound gears 72/18& 54/18.

If Metric thread cutting is required 6mm pitch to 0.20 pitch the following gears are required,
16,18,20,22,24,26,28,32x2,36,40,44,48,52,56,80&100 as well as compound gear 127/100.
