    Excuse my ignorance, but when they say these motors are reversible does that mean switch reversible or just that they can be wired to run one way OR the other.

    It usually means not having to open up the motor to get at the junctions needed to set up for reverse operation. ie enough connections available inside the junction box to make then switch reversible.

    Damn It after months of thinking off and on about this problem its suddenly very clear they changed the casting

    I just though this needed a conclusion if anyone else runs into this problem. I machined it out at work fairly easy I centred the boring head then wound out the diameter to just lick each side then fed Y in to a depth where it looked about right. It worked well and looks like the pictures I had seen now I just have to finish the project.
