Firstly, have you tried places like Mick Moyle's? Sometimes they have second hand stuff that is the go (I once bought an arbor from them for my mill).
The other thing is a picture of the parts you are looking for may prompt memories, or alternatively help making suitable substitutes

Yep already called Mick Moyles of Summer Hill unfortunately they dont have it at the moment.
Apparently luck was on my side today.. after some time searching and trying to contact the guy who i bought it 2 years ago he still got those hidden on his shed all the way from ACT..so its all good..
Bit of a trivia as well..
A retired teacher from Tafe i had a chat with , told me that this machine cost $6500 when new .. they had purchased 40 units.. parts are rare as there where only 700 plus produced. The Horizontal Milling is standard to the machine and the vertical head is an accessory. He is the one who told me to try to contact the person whom i get it from
,, because if he got this machine , chances is he still got the horizontal milling parts .
Very happy man today..
thanks for your reply as well
cheers

Hello Joseph,
Welcome the the Hercus Mill Owners Club.
If you have not already done so, it would probably be worthwhile reading through this old thread regarding a potential problem due to incorrect lubrication of the No.O - //metalworkforums.com/f189/t821...830#post860830
Sadly photos that accompanied threads prior to 2012 have in the most part evaporated. If you have any queries or need photos, just ask.
Bob.

Hi Bob , im aware of this problem and also the cause of it. This is why i have decided to strip out my whole machine to find out the condition of all the parts. Perhaps a complete restoration..i will put up some pics to follow..
This is first problem of lubrication.. oil dont get into the bearings.. when i first disaasemble this the original oil way as pointed on pic2 is blocked by the flange lip of the bearing. So i have to through straight so oil will pass through just between the oil seal and the bearing section.
Also only one nipple, only on the top flange nothing on the bottom. So i did the same on the bottom flange cover .. then sand blast the old paint but leaving the original hercus logo..
