Default Largest size chuck for 260g?

    Hi!

What would be the largest chuck the 260g could run?

Would any damage be caused if the chuck was larger than it should?

I know that the 4 Jaw chucks are around 6", would a 7.5" chuck be too big and heavy?

I wouldn't concern myselfn with the weight so much as increasing the hangout from the spindle nose, does the G come with a camlock spindle?

No, it seems like a standard threaded spindle like the Hercus 9 model.

The issue with big chucks will be if you stick the jaws out beyond the chuck OD they might hit the bed.

A bigger chuck may not necessarily mean you can hold bigger items. As bigger chucks have bigger jaws.

Personally I would look for one of the thin 6" Pratt burnerds used on Myfords just because they are really thin, less stick out means less runout at the work as well as more space between centers.

The 260 brochure says swing over bed is 260mm, swing over cross slide is 159mm.
