Relocating the my Hercus A9 Lathe
Hello Grahame, I wonder if you can help me please. I want to ask a question and do not know how to do it. My question is to the Hercus expert machinists. Recently I relocated my Hercus 9A, and I noticed that it cuts a taper of 8Th 0.008" on a five inch bar. No tailstock involvement. The Chuck side is thinner than the tailstock side by 0.008". I did try for the last three days to adjust the legs and the Headstock, but I cannot succeed. Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thank you
Jim Petridis

Jim,
the Hercus Textbook Of Turning explains how to true up the lathe. If you don't have a copy, PM your email address and I'll email you a copy.
