I have been looking at the Hercus taper turning attachment. It seems possible I can reproduce it but the cost wouldn't be much short of a $1000. The original cost of the individual parts from Hercus (when they had them) was about $1900. I get the fact that this is a lot of $$$$'s but if it can be made for say $900 would anyone be interested. If I go ahead, they will be made to original standards, using the original Hercus plans.

If there is any part you need remade, drop me a line. If I can get enough people interested I will remake most parts. There are some exceptions, such as the old plain bearing headstock spindles, whose specs call for no more runout than 0.0002" between all surfaces. I have not been able, so far, to find anyone in this country willing to work within these specs at a price we can afford.
