Missed that auction, did you see what prices all the gear went for, it doesn't look like you can view the bids now.

I had a good look at it on Thursday, It was in good-ish condition and went for about $725 in the end, although I don't think the purchaser was very happy with it (a friend of mine today said he was trying to trade it away, dont really know what the deal was it looked a solid machine to me.) I was after a grinder in the auction but it went our of my price range ($250). Most of the big INT40 King Rich mills went for more than $4000, same with the many lathes. All the Waldown pillar drills went for between $350 and $400 except a dirty old one I bought for $150, yet to see if i regret that purchase. I dont know what the two Jones and Shipman grinders went for.

I have a hercus slotter. It would be as good or better than the other slotters i have used. It does suffer from the same problem that most slotters have, you either need to be a dwarf or sit on a milk crate to use it without killing your back.

I missed out on seeing the sale.

In the listing, now gone, I think they called it a Hercus MDT slotter. If I've got the MDT bit right what do that refer to?

Probably soon enuf see it on ebay I guess.

Do you have any pics of the hercus slotter that you could show. I assume it fits the O mill. Interested in acquiring one but don't know what I'm looking for. tHANKS IN ADVANCE

No is a full on vertical slotter with a big x y rotary table. A much much bigger dedicated version of the little jumping Jack's.
