Default hercus No.3a tool and cutter grinder

    Hi Guys,
As some of you may know I picked up the old tool and cutter grinder that was sold on ebay. the machine seems to be mostly there but the the problem now is I need as much information as possible to restore it to original condition. If anyone has an original machine I would appreciate as many photos as possible of the machine and it's accessories from every angle. Any manuals or publications as well, although I will be getting anything available from F.W.Hercus, copies would be a help in the interum.
As I will possibly need to remake some parts, someone who is willing to supply dimensions or even better drawings at the time. If any of you are willing to help please let me know.

    Hi Greg,
Thanks for that, haven't seen any of them so I wouldn't know one from the other. The same problem still exists I still need any information.

    Mal,

Below are a few catalogue images of the No.3 grinder. The first image is from a late 40's Hercus brochure, the others are from a 1960 McPherson's catalogue. The photos are of a No.3 offered for sale a few years ago.

    Default No. 1

Do you have a copy of these No.1 brochures?

    Hi Bob,
You found more info than I did, thanks very much. Now I know what some of the bits are for, much easier when you can see how it goes together.
    Many thanks Mal
