Why not have a go at it yourself.

After all the cost of materials arent that great even if you muck it up.

You will get experience in setting up a 4 jaw chuck,Facing,Boring,Screw Cutting,Counter Boring,Chamfering,Turning an OD and Spigot,Marking out a PCD,Drilling and possably Taping .

have a go andre i did and it wasnt too hard. holding the blank was the most difficult cos it was at the outer most limits of the 4 jaw chuck jaws.dont be intimidaded by the internal threads its not too critical try and get a blank made from caste i found a caste flange or maybe it was off an electric motor from a scrap metal dealer for 10 dollars
important .... go slowly when nearing the final cuts

How did you know when you'd reached correct thread depth? Did you make a mock spindle nose first? This is often suggested, although I've never made one yet.

The Test plug is the easiest way for checking the internal thread .

i can send you a piece of thread that i have (1 1/2X 8 UN) 60 degree thread form..... it will still be a little tight on the spindle thread but i just worked it back and forth till it screwed on freely. or as pipeclay said make a test plug ...its not hard ....that will screw into your chuck
