Default Please help me...types of drawbar

I am going to build a trailer, from a ute tub (yes another one LOL). I want to build a BBQ into it and I want a removable drawbar. I intend to use the same kind of SHS as used on towbars where they have the square tongue section that is held in the tow bar with a kingpin arrangement. I will bolt it on using 1/2" thick High Tensile bolts as shown with the arrows in the attached diagram (NOT TO SCALE)

So my question. Is it legal?

    In a word, Yes.

Two precedents would be kit form trailers that simply bolt together, and tilting boat trailers, that have one bolt at the pivot point and a latch arrangement.
Too many projects, so little time, even less money!
