Yes but no other company that I have ever dealt with send almost threatening emails stating that fact . I have bought plenty of cheaper electronic products and installed them myself and still got the manufacturers warranty . Redarc put you on notice rather abruptly that you are on your own if you can't afford an auto electrician even if the fault is caused by bad manufacturing . Don't like them won't ever buy from them.
