    Default quick fix trailer liner

For those who maybe have the same problem
I have a steel trailer with the floor rusting out,
First thought put new floor in.
Second thought is the cost and effort worth it with the whole thing is getting ruster.
Third thought what if I do a quick fix that will last 4-5 years then see if I still need a trailer.

The answer was a new panel sheet that a mate uses for wet areas and I have been using his off cuts for spoilboard in the cnc mill as it is not affected by the coolant.
So two 18mm thick sheets latter and 10 minutes of saw time a few screws in the floor beams and some urethane sealant. One trick was the sides and front panels have no screws as there tuck under the top lip and the floor holds them against the side and front.
Had to cut and weld the bottom of the tailgate to allow for the new floor height.
The board is called core light from nover and other places. link to product

    Have fun now

Nice quick repair. Did you cut out the rusted remains of the floor? Asking, just incase that some of it falls onto the road causing an accident!!!!!

Your point is a good one and no I did not cut out any floor.
I think I will go and put a few more screws around the rusty end and hold it all in place.

I've had similar ideas, but my concern is does it accelerate the rust by trapping moisture? And now that it's hidden is there more chance of a safety issue going unnoticed?
