mig tig and arc in one unit?
Hi all, there is a mob on ebay ghan imports selling a 3 in one unit, a 160 amp mig, tig, and arc welder all in one for $750.00.
I would think it must be crap but who knows these days, does anyone know anything about these units.
thanks in advance

I don't have any first hand knowledge, but going from what's on the ebay page, the TIG is:
- DC Only (no ally welding in TIG mode)
- Scratch start (no HF)
- No leads/cables/etc. included (for TIG) - need to purchase seperately
- No foot pedal control
Most scratch start TIGs dont have a gas solenoid which means you have to manually turn on/off the gas when welding which is annoying - but because it accepts gas in MIG mode it may have a solenoid.
It may be an ok MIG and having arc capability may be handy, but if you want a TIG, I'd save some more and get an ac/dc unit with hf start and foot pedal (or the ability to add one). Some can even double as a plasma cutter. If you want MIG rather than TIG, get a dedicated MIG.
