I think i am still just ever so slightly off on the wire feed if u look at post 56, picture 008, i had maxed out my machines wire feed at number 10 and it blew the hole but it only blew the hole over 3mm material only if u look at that pic 008 the weld below it was at 9 wire feed speed i think if i set it to 9.5 and try run that same weld i think i might achieve a good outcome i will have to test it tho at the moment i am only speculating on a thought
i can see where its not biting into the material i have some 50x50x3mm SHS that i had welded some 4mm sheet on the end using the ESAB mig and it bit into the 4mm sheet easily cratering it so i know what to look for now and that "bite" into the metal is a indication i am getting good penetration, I'm just unsure if i were to up the voltage to level 5 would i be even in the ball park to use the max setting 10 on the wire feed because it is almost maxed out on voltage 4 wire feed 9

Last post may be a bit confusing what i meant to say was
the chart recommended settings: voltage 4, wire feed 7, what i found to weld was 4 and 9, what i actually think will work best if 4 and 9.5, i tried 4 and 10 but blew the hole
i also now know all my AC/DC tig settings off the top of my head, the one i kept getting confused with was "arc force" but i understand this is for stick welding only so is not needed
