Budget tig welder: what is the two pin socket?
Hi all,
I am considering this Rossi 3 in 1 tig/arc/plasma:
https://www.edisons.com.au/rossi-tig...achine-ct620is
It can't take a foot control, but I was wondering what the two pin socket on the front is for? Their generic manual has a diagram for another machine and refers to something similar as a 'high frequency start control' - but I don't know if this is the same thing.
All advice welcome. Excuse me if the answer is obvious - I'm not a welder, but I did do a TAFE course some years ago - no tig.
Greg.

I haven't had a look at the link but it is most likely for the on off trigger switch that operates the solenoid.

that might be, say, for an on off switch on the torch?

I've got a similar Rossi 3 in 1. It's so easy to use and works well but you will probably want to upgrade the earth clamp and electrode holder. They're not that good.

China, thanks. We've been moved here now. Auskart. Thanks. On that basis I bought one. Adyadad. Cheers. Made from 'chinesium' no doubt. But good tip. This will be my first welder so I am happy you are happy with yours. At $350 on eBay at the moment it is pretty hard to pass up. And with aussie warranty as the eBay shop is edisons. Thanks again. Greg.

Purchased 2d hand rossi ct620is - cut issues
Hi guys, as one of you guys mentioned lookibg at buying this rossi tig/mma/cut, and someone said they have one. I thought i would try my luck with some help. I purchased one of these off gumtree a year ago or so, tge guy said he barely used it, and it looked like that was true.
Ive used it to stick weld and its all good. But wanted to use the plasma cutter and when i move the switch to cut, the highest it will go up to is 29... 30 flickers on and off but does not get there. Its supposed to be 50amps. Tried switching it on and off a few times. One of the times, the highest ut went up to was 16amps. But next on/off back to max of 30amps.
Would love some help guys
