Thanks Karl. Did not know that. The place where my wife works just recently spend quite a bit of money on new welding machines. Their welding parrameters are set up via computer link. After testing by getting their welders to perform typical welding jobs, the welds are inspected and the parameters such as current etc are recorded. This formed the basis for the settings. After all the setting were fine tuned, the welding machine can determine if a weld is suspect (by comparing the parrameters of the sample weld) and send a warning to the office computer to inspect the weld.
The machines came from Spain and company sent a technition to set it all up. Apparently its pretty good. Way over my head when it comes to welding though.
If I were welding, it would have a meltdown!
SimonGirl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.
