Can someone please tell me what BOC's yearly rental is on a D Argon cylinder or does it vary from state to state?
Offered in D and G sizes. When you sign up to the plan, you get a full cylinder and are entitled to one free refill within 12 mths - prices quoted for the D size are $79 for oxygen, $108 for acetylene and $165 for straight argon. He said it cuts cost roughly in half.

So every 12 months you are entitled to a new refillor is it just a one off and then you have to pay for the refills?

The guy behind the counter gave the impression that it was just a one off when I signed up, but then when my paperwork arrived it reads like it's one free refill 'inside' the first twelve months, then one every twelve months thereafter.
My first twelve months aren't up yet, so I can't say for sure as I haven't tested it. In fact I haven't even claimed my first free refill yet. I guess I need to use it a bit more.

I just called BOC to confirm as I've got an E size Argoshield Light that's currently on rental and nearly dead. Taken me over 2 years to use it, maybe closer to 3.
Their "D" plan is $108 for full bottle - covers 12 months rental, and you get an additional refill in that 12 months.
At the end of that 12M, you pay $108 for the next 12 months, and are entitled to one refill in that period.

Thanks for clearing that up. That's how I thought it worked, from reading the paperwork on mine. Given the lack of knowledge on the 'D Plan' that has been demonstrated by their staff, I'm not surprised that my local store didn't properly understand.
Now I just need to use the last half of my first bottle of oxygen before may, so that I don't miss out on the free refill inside the first twelve months...
...better get cuttin'
