Should be pretty straight forward pre flow and post gas maybe 3 - 5 seconds. Base current should be the main amperage control as any other welder would have. Peak current would be for pulse so you could set to minimum, down slope set to 0 Pulse width and Pulse Freq same thing. There should be a switch to turn pulse on or off so it won't really matter what they are set on if it is off. Clear Width? I think that was to do with cleaning, used with AC only. You could set this to minimum if you are only welding steel.

    Hope this helps

Thanks mate that sounds easy cheers

I may have a bit of coin to play with soon so i was looking at buying a proper welder something of decent quality but not overly complicated, I'm looking for a light weight mig that can do aluminium, it must be a small unit so i can leave it inside the house

what are some options? so far i like the token tools synergic mig but its a little over the $1000 budget

so far to date my mig experience has been horrible sadly i have only bought cheap machines, my welds are horrifying so i would like to get a decent machine and sell my ESAB / Spool gun and go with something much smaller

i would also like to step away from the gasless wire and go with solid wire, the reason i want to go with a quality machine is i am still building that car trailer and to put it simple my welds put me off finishing the job i think its my welders that are the limiting factor

i have heard good reviews about the Mag Mate and also the UNIMIG Razor what are your thoughts guys?

Those settings worked perfect i ran a bead first go on some 32x3mm round tubing than i had a few goes at the corner joint, once i left the gas off and it was hard to get it tacked and awkward positions i found it really hard to follow around the tube

machine is a bit iffy what the dial is reading now reads 109amps on the readout i had to keep bumping up the amps because i was under powered (i was going by the dial)
