There's no work being done over Xmas.
Do you mean the sleeves or flanges should be brazed, or otherwise connected together?

Ive seen various brands of supermagicfixitsilicone tape in the hardware shops.
Rolls of it like masking tape, supposed to set like steel.
Could you wrap that around your leaking joins ?
Not ideal I know.

I would use a mild steel filler rod and a #8 tip on the oxy and fusion weld it.
You start by creating a small pool of hot metal and adding the filler rod to fill in between the two pieces.
It is easy to do, you control the heat by pulling the torch closer or further away.
Don't force the tip with to much oxygen, you can tell by the noise.
I am a plumber and I would do it that way not with bronze rods.
