Mig regulator problem
I've had a SIP mig welder for 15 years , got it new, it came with its gas regulator . I had a liquidair bottle for years but cancelled it.
Today I got a bottle of migshield from Bunnings and connected up the SIP regulator to it , I adjusted the gas flow , ready to weld . As I was walking away, a loud large gas leak began , it blew off the hose to the mig unit. I ran back and closed the main bottle valve off ..phew !
Slowly opening the main valve it is obvious the regulator is stuffed - it lets through the bottle pressure ! I pulled it apart and it seems OK, the rubber diaphram is OK . Maybe it just cannot handle the Bunnings bottle pressure ?
Is there a good regulator available ? Thanks Mike

There are the usual name brands that you will pay lots of $$$$$ for and there are endless generics ..... some of which are pretty damn fine.
The reg that came with my Tradetools welder looks to be better built that those in my commet 3 kit.
If you do ebay ... chek out "bob is the welder"
cheersAny thing with sharp teeth eats meat.
Most powertools have sharp teeth.
People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.
