I have two pieces of 25.4 x 5 mm Brass Flat Bar, the first is 1440 mm long and the second is 1800 mm long. This brass is a nice size for tool projects, wear strips, etc.

If you pick up all of the brass it comes to $90.72.

The value of 25.4 x 5 mm Brass Flat Bar is $28 per meter. Due to Australia post limiting postage to 1 meter lengths, I would have to cut the two pieces into 4 pieces at 1000 mm, 1000, mm, 800 mm, and 440 mm.

I am willing to however sell the brass in increments of 200 mm at $6 per 200 mm.

If you buy the whole lot Postage will have to be calculated depending on were you live. Otherwise you can have 500 gm's for $6 postage to anywhere in Australia. OR 3 kg's for $11 to anywhere in Australia.

Hi Thumbsucker......The brass bar you have is not wide enough for my project( I'm constructing an Armillary Sphere ...sundial).However I would be grateful if you could let me know where to purchase Brass bar. I need 50 mm x 5mm and 40mm x 3mm bars about 2000mm long.

Good luck with your sale items
Cheers .........Sunter

Sunter I do not know anyone in W.A. I have bought stuff from George White | Australia's leading stockist & distributor of non-ferrous metals (http://www.georgewhite.com.au/) in Melbourne. They are very good and will cut and post small amounts.

Thanks for your prompt reply Thumbsucker. I'll get in touch with them. I am currently caravanning, in Sydney now but sadly not returning home via Melbourne. There is a supplier in Perth but they don't deal in less than full lengths and are pretty dear too.
Cheers....Sunter

Brian I sent you a PM on Friday, saying that I have been busy with Uni, and that I had not forgotten about you. I also stated that the brass would be posted, and it has. It will take 3 to 5 days to get to you. I am sure you will get it by the end of the week.

Well by brass turned up today - three weeks after payment.

Brian I sent you a PM on Friday, saying that I have been busy with Uni, and that I had not forgotten about you.

Yes you did, but you ignored my subsequent query and I got edgy. Not a confidence-inspiring transaction.
