Hello,
Anyone have any ideas what i could use for reshaping the swages on the sides of caravans?
If i fill in a dented area in the swages with car body filler so i am left with a flat area amongst lots of small swages, does anyone know of a reshapable or adjustable router/sanding wheels that could reshape the ridges back to original?
Maybe mount a spindle operated hand held router and jig it to the side of the van to the correct depth to move along to route out the filler ?
To sand out the swages by hand with a sanding block takes years!
It`s so expensive to replace the panels
help!!

Hi Joner.

Here in Australia, the caravan (R.V.) panels are pieces only 18" - 24" wide, and have rolled lips top and bottom that lock together. (The first length is fitted and stapled at the top and sides, then the next sheet locks into the bottom of the first sheet and is stapled at each end, and so on and so forth.) What this means is that one length of panel can be replaced without having to replace the whole side.

Maybe a picture of the damage would help us help you.
